Which of 4 Dimm Slots to use?

Hello again,

I am installing a SOYO Dragon2 KT880 v2 board in my existing box. The memory
setup is listed as

DimmA1 DimmA2 DimmB1 DimmB2

The book has a chart that is confusing, at least at a glance. I am going to
use 2 of the 4 slots for 2 512M 400 sticks. Am I supposed to put them both
in DimmA slots or one in DimmA 1 and the other in DimmB 1or what is the
program on this?

Any other heads-ups on this installation?

Thanks!

Almost forgot. One's CLK 2.5 and the other CLK 3. IIRC 3 is the slower so I
need to run it at that, but will they still be able to do double channel
since they are the same configuration and both DDR400?

For dual channel operation, put the DIMMs in a pair of sockets with the same
color. That's what the manual says, although the language could be clearer.

(The manual indicates that which pair is used doesn't matter.)

In principle, the DIMMs should be matched to get proper operation. That may
not be necessary in practice. I'm using a pair of unmatched 512 MB DIMMs. I
set the memory timings manually in the BIOS, rather than trusting to the
mainboard making the best choice from the SPD information from the DIMMs.
(I'm able to run the RAM at CAS 2.5, although that's better than their
ratings. It may help that I'm using a slightly raised voltage, 2.7V, with
them.)

I recommend memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/) to verify that the RAM is
operating correctly.
