which is the best cloning software?

Is Norton ghost the software of choice for rolling out the Windows XP
machines? I have recently had some problems when trying to clone machines
with differing hardware. I have been using sysprep 2 which gives me a
failure error before completing. "Sysprep has been unable to update the
registry " or something like this. Sometimes the ghost image works on a
machine and sometimes it doesn't. Is Drive image likely to be any better?

Before you go any further you need to resolve your basic problems.
If SYSPREP is reporting errors then you will simply compound these in your
attempts to "clone" machines.
You must use SYSPREP as part of the duplication process. Fix your image
first then evaluate the additional duplication software.
