Hello;
I am using Nero Ultra 6 and want to upgrade to version 7,but before I do
I wanted some feed back as to which may better. Would Easy CD creator 's
latest version be better than Nero's latest version? I want usability and
stability. I am using Windows XP Home edition 3.0 Intel cpu and tons of
ram. Any suggestion are welcomed.

Thanks,

Gizmo

I hear Nero 6 (.6? updated) is much more stable than Nero 7.

Roxio? I don't wanna go there if I don't have to.

Which is better is a matter of opinion. If you find Nero Ultra 6 usable and
stable then maybe you should sick with it.

Nero 7 is perfectly ok IMO.
Regards Mike.

Whether you use Nero or Easy CD Creator, the first requirement is to check
if your video capture card and the driver (device) is recognized by the
software in its Readme File or other manuals. Nero for example recognized
only a few cards like ATI's or Pinacle's at the time of the first release of
Nero 7 Premium.
If the capture process is smooth, burning is straightforward, if your DVD
Writer is recognized by the software and you use the correct medium, R or RW
recommended by the DVD Wrier Mfr.

Thats an easy one in my opinion. Dont know about anyone else but on
my system Nero 7 was just a complete nigthmare.

Would refuse to run properly more times than it would work. The
problem according to Nero was that I had other burning software
installed on my system and that I needed to run a utility from them to
disable the other software's drivers as Nero did not play well with
them installed. Ran their utility which allowed Nero to then work
probably about 50% of the time. It would still throw up errors,
refuse to burn, etc more often than it woud work. I even tried
uninstalling the other software and then running the Nero utility. And
reinstalling Nero. Still many of the same problems. And Nero's
customer help was dismal.

Uninstalled Nero 7 and installed Easy Media Creator 8. Have not had a
single problem with it. It has never once failed to burn a project or
thrown up any error whatsoever. Have burned all sorts of data, audio,
video CDs and DVDs with it and not had a single problem or coaster.

Other people swear by Nero. Just telling you that in my personal
experience its a piece of garbage.
