Which Colour Laser?

I've been looking for a low cost colour laser for a while now - even
posted on here before asking questions!

Anyway, I've narrowed the search down to 4 printers:

OKI C3200 Colour Laser 20/12ppm 1200x600dpi 32MB USB
Samsung CLP510 Colour Laser 24/6ppm 600x600dpi 64MB Duplex USB
Konica Minolta magicolor 2400 W 2400 x 600 dpi Resolution
Brother HL-2700CN 64mb - 31ppm 2400 X 600 Usb2/Par

Does anyone have hands on experience of any of these kiddies and the
pro's and con's of each?

I'm not too worried about price per print as costs are very similar
according to printware.co.uk. The important things to me are print
quailty - especially graphics and photos and reliability.

I'm particularly interested in the samsung as the duplex facility would
be good but at 600 x 600 is the quality as good as the Brother or
Konica at 2400 x 600 or the OKi at 1200 x 600 and what do these
resolutions really mean as the specs say "Up To".

Or can anyone suggest an alternative machine?

Thanks,

Kev

Here's my thoughts on the CLP-550n printer, which has some enhancements over
the CLP-510.

It isn't quite finished, but the basics are covered. I'm really quite happy
with mine when all things are considered.

If you want to print photos and graphics, the color laser printer mus
offer PostScript printing to enhance gray level. The recommen
printers are as follows
1.Konica Minolta 245
http://printer.konicaminolta.com/products/color/mc2450/index.as
This is my first tome to find laser printer is possible to connec
digital camera directly through USB. Of course, it offers PostScrip
printing language. 2430DL also can connect digital camera but no
recommend due to GDI printing language

2.HP 3800 serie
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/s...ng&v1=Color&product_code=Q5981A#ABA&catLevel=
Beside resolution and PostScript printing language, it offers gloss
toner to improve printing quality

3.Lexmark 522

I've had the Samsung CLP-510 for a week so can't give a considered opion at
this stage, but very early indications are that it's good - does the job.
The duplex printing facility plus having a seperate multi-purpose tray are
the features that won me on this model. Some of the printers below don't
have a tray and would be a right pain for light-card printing and envelopes,
which I do regularaly. Cost was equivalent of USD $360 plus a $50 gift
voucher was thrown in - a good deal.

Thanks guys,

My requirement is not to print full A4 photos as such (it may be nice
to have the option) but the images would be part of colour brochures,
reports etc - so the duplex would be good - but as I said - at 600 x
600 is the quality as good as the Brother or Konica at 2400 x 600 or
the OKi at 1200 x 600 and what do these resolutions really mean as the
specs say "Up To".

Generally speaking, up to means interpolated. On this basis, the 510 goes
to 1200 and does a nice job on good paper.
