Where to Report Numerous Bugs and Wish List

Allen:

My list of bugs in Access 2002 is becoming a formidable
one. The SF sorting error has reappeared - I found that
Access had dropped the LMF and LCF settings so I got no
error - when I retyped the single key field name, the
sorting errors reappeared. I suspect these bugs were
introduced when the "edit subform in place" feature was
added. Sometimes you can see the subform contents, other
times just a white rectangle.
Now I'm getting nervous about the stability of
developing on Access 2002 (my gut says I should go back
to version 97 - fewer features but at least I knew where
the bugs were and how to get around them, but 97 doesn't
work well on XP). What do you think?
Putting VBA code development in a different
window/process was a good idea, but there are bugs in the
interraction of the two windows.
Do you know of an MS news site or email address where I
can report these numerous problems? I doubt they will
ever be corrected in Access 2002 service releases, but if
MS posts them in the knowledgebase, as a community maybe
we can find workarounds. Also, is there a contact point
for an Access "Wish List"?
Thanks for your patience...
Cheers, Larry

There is an e-mail address (e-mail address removed) (I think)
where you can request features or changes. However,
Microsoft does not encourage this sort of input, and
usually ignores it. In fact, if it has an effect at all
it is a negative one for most users, since the complainers
sometimes get changes that nobody else wanted. My guess
is that unless you are a corporate user with several
thousand licenses, they will not hear you in Redmond.
There is no way to report bugs. You can contact tech
support, but even if you get through they are not really
interested.
