I am trying to import my Palm Desktop contact list from another PC into my
new Windows Vista PC. I exported the contact file as a VCF file. When I try
to open the file to import it into Windows Contacts program, it keep trying
to use Microsoft Office Outlook instread of Windowns Contacts. I tried to
open the file using the Windows Contact program but I can not locate the
program. Can anyone help?

Start > All Programs, Windows Contacts is listed at the top. Or open Windows
Mail, Tools > Windows Contacts, or Contacts button on the Tools Bar.

Thanks for the information Cal Bear.

I know how to get to Windows Contacts. The problem is when I try to import
my VCF contact file into Windows Contact, it keeps trying to use Microsoft
OutLook instead of Windows Contact. Can you help?

From the main Windows Mail File > Import > Windows Contacts > vCard (VCF file),
doesn't work?

Hey Cal Bear,

I changed the default VCF file type to use Windows Mail as the default
program to open these types of files. Then I went into Windows Mail and took
the import option. Next I selected Windows Contact option and I was able to
select my Palm Desktop contact file and import it into Windows Contact
without any problems.
