Where is the Start Menu folder?

Where is the folder which contains the start menu or short-cuts of
application softwares? I looked in "Users" but could not find it.

to show YOUR user folder: right click on start menu -> Open
to show ALL users folder: right click on start menu -> Open all users
 
Go to C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu

If you don't see it, make sure that hidden files are turned on.
