where is the recording function in word

I read where you can use a recording function in word to record lectures,
etc. I am using office 2007 and can't find this feature. Is anyone familiar
with this feature?

Additionally, is there anyway that the recording can be posted on web pages
for others to use?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I use XP Service pack 2, does that mean
I can use it. Here's where I read about it

project or just want to record some audio while you are taking notes,
Microsoft Word has an excellent feature called Notebook.

This is a MacWord 2004 only feature. It doesn't exist in Windows Word.
But you should investigate OneNote. The Notebook Layout in MacWord
borrows some features from OneNote for Windows.

In MacWord, once the recording is made it can be extracted and posted as
an audio file. I would expect OneNote to offer the same, but I've never
seen OneNote, so I don't know.
