I am using a program called D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. which stores datafiles with
FileMaker. I accessed it this afternoon, stored on my jump drive, and tried
to access when I returned home. Error message said file was damaged and
could not be accessed; use recover command to open.

Where is the recover command and how do I use it?

Thanks.

You'll have to consult the documentation that comes with D.O.R.O.T.H.Y.

Or type it in Help. There is an XP Recover command. Which won't fix the file but save as much of it as it can. But databases often have their own repair commands.

The recover command is explained in Windows help under Command-line
reference A-Z. The basic syntax is recover [Drive:][Path] FileName
It is unlikely to help in your case, but harmless to try.
