If you didn't get cd's for Works when you bought the computer (and you
should have), then you'll have to buy a new copy at the store. An
alternative would be to download OpenOffice, an excellent open source
and free office suite (www.openoffice.org).

My emachine came with Microsoft Works already installed, and no CD
(bless their hearts). Don't have any use for it, but I haven't wanted
to take the step to remove it either.

I agree with Malke's suggestion about system restore. First, though,
you might want to check whether it is still in the programs file list.
c:\programs files\microsoft works. Be sure that you have configured
hidden folders to be shown in case the attribution has changed.
(control panel \ folder options \ view). Also use Search to check for
msworks.exe, using all advanced options.
