Greetings,

History of what exactly? If you mean conversations, Windows Messenger does not have a
message archive feature and won't save anything. The exception being if you're using a third
party tool like Messenger Plus which would save the conversations for you.

JK- My messenger history is in XML format. How can I get it to a text
format? The XML is something I have not seen before. Did I switch the
format unknowingly? Thanx

Hiii, yes by default it saves in xml format only easy for messenger to view
the history when u want to see the archive from within your messenger "click
here for history" its normal and is actually makes very easy to navigate if
u want it in text simply open the xml file copy the area and save it to a
text file. or u can save the file to html format from browser save as
option. although they are other messsenger third party tools! to that save
conversation in text its a hassle! so i dont recommend any cya.

Hope this helps...
