I have an email account that is used only to receive messages. This acount
does not have a SMTP configuration.
I received a message that required a confirmation and now, every time a try
to receive the emails, the outlook keeps trying to send that confirmation.
And of course, fails after long time trying...

Somebody can help me with this?

Delete the outbound msg/receipt.
Next time when the read/receipt popup opens select 'no'

Hello DL,

The problem is that there is no Outbound/Rcpt in the outbond box.
It seems that Outlook hide this kind of message from the user and I dont
know where it is to delete it.

If you want to reproduce this behavior, send a msg to yourself requesting
the read confirmation. Send the message, receive the message, disconect
yourself from the net (or delete the SMTP configs) and open the msg
confirming the receipt You will see that outlook is trying to send the
receipt. Try to find where is the receipt to send.

In Outlook look under Tools / Options on the Preferences tab and click
"Email Options" then click "Tracking Options". In the lower section select
the option to "never send a response". Go to your Outbox in your folder
list and delete the one that is sitting there waiting to go out.

Hello Spider,

It did not work here.
I folowed your instruction, but the OutBox does not show any msg to go.
And the outlook is still trying to send the "invisible" msg.
Any other sugestion?

Tks

Yes, one other suggestion. Create a new pst file and add it to your
profile. Remove the pst file you are presently using from your profile and
import the old file into the new one.

Never import from a PST. You lose data that way.

There's got to be a better way than spending $50 on third-party software. I
did this a few months ago and it worked fine, but I trying again today I
can't use this method without paying.

What do I do if this method is unavailable?

The above link did work for me, but it's trialware. I had the same problem
twice, a few months apart, and the second time I couldn't use it without
paying for it. But Microsoft puts out a free utility that will get the job
done. Try:

saying the same thing. Over. And Over.

Thank you for being a SPAMmer.
