NayJo

Apologies for posting twice but I misspelled the program name in the
original post...

I would like to install the FastTrak DMI Service for Windows NT/2000 on a
computer running Windows 2000 Pro. The FastTrak manual states "The DMI 2.0
Service Provider, Win32sl, must be installed in order for the FastTrak DMI
service to be installed." and when I attempt to install the driver the
FastTrak installer gives an error saying that 'win32sl.exe was not found'.

I assume win32sl.exe is an OS component. How do I get it? Is it part of
Windows 2000 Pro? Or is the FastTrak documentation wrong. (FastTrak is an
IDE Raid disk controller - I am trying to enhance my error detection
capabilities).

Many thanks again, in advance.

NayJo,

WIN32SL is not a Microsoft file either.

It appears to be an HP file/service. Look at the INF file for the fast track and see if it metions WIN32SL.
Is this file anywhere on th Fast trak media?

You might need to get with Fast track or HP on this issue.
