Where did the contacts button on the bottom left of an item go?

In contacts, appointments and tasks (Outlook 2002) there is a button on the
bottom left to connect contact(s) to the item in question which displayed a
list of the connected contacts in a list box to the right of the button.
Clicking a contact in the list opens up the contact. I find this function
critical. How can I get this back or what is the new and hopefully even
better way to do this?

If you're using OL2007 you'll find the option here: Tools menu > Options >
Contacts

Thanks Vince,

I've reverted back to 2002 for now until I can get this resolved. Can you
describe the feature a little. Does going to Tools menu > Options > Contacts
turn on the feature so it goes back to the bottom left corner like it was, or
is this the way to view/add/remove connected contacts now? Will I have to
click through Tools menu > Options > Contacts every time instead of clicking
the contacts button?

There's a checkbox there that adds it. Check it once and all is well
