Where can I find on my computer the version of MDAC that is installed ?

A quick and dirty way -- Open regedit and lookup the following key

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ADODB.Connection\CurVer

Note .. you might have more than one versions of MDAC on your PC at the same
time.
