I just started using MSN as my ISP I have windows xp and haven't needed a
dictionary for spell checking my E-mail before but with MSN when I try to
spell check my E-mails I get this message "The spelling checker is available
only if you have Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Works
installed, because the spelling checker shares the dictionary found in those
programs."

As far as I know you need one of the specified Microsoft products that
have the copyrighted dictionary and I believe the engine for the spell
check. I don't believe Microsoft makes it available for download and since
it is copyrighted no one else can without their permission.

The good news is you should be able to get a copy or works for little.
Amazon as new copies of 2002 (without Word) for about $25.00. The current
version includes MS Word and is more expensive.
