Not sure what I am missing.
We have started a new project and for the past month and a half have not
seen more than 3 qualified .NET engineers, Seems that most of the people out
there now days have moved to Java ( SF Bay Area ).

Figured I’d ask in the communities to see what I’m missing here.
Are .net engineers that hard to come by?

Hello AdamH,

You could missing a lot - locations, salary, benefits and etc :)
If you can't find .net dev it doesn't mean they are even don't exist :)

They are all probably heads-down writing code.

Hi,

Well you should have a lot of people in the SF area that works in .net/c# .
Probably you are not offering a good set of benefits.

At least here in Miami I see much more work for .NET than for Java , all the
friends I know of are working in .net , not even one is working in java.

I would love to move to SF btw, the most beautiful city I know.

LOL !

Especially when the street is named Castro , a name repulsive itself (I'm
from Cuba) , nothing to look for there :)

South Park had a episode like two weeks ago about the SFs , very funny
indeed

Too many street bums, selling their newspaper. Unbelievable.
Good luck with your project,

They're all busy converting java app's to .NET.
