When travelling how do I access Windows Mail

Even if it had Vista, they would not let you configure it for your Windows Mail.
Use the Webmail access provided by your ISP, then you don't need a Vista machine.

And if you cannot figure out your ISP, use the web site www.mail2web.com
Of course this assumes you remember both your email address and your email password.
