I found the answer to a question I posted. Is there a way to delete my
question so it's not taking up space?

Wouldn't it be better if you just posted a reply to your own original
question with the answer you found out, so that others could use the info?

Only if you're using a real newsreader and not the web interface you are
using. Even then, it's fairly pointless.
