When publishing web page, show the upload but doesn't actually create the site.

I have a question about my web page that I am trying to upload to a member.rogers.com site. The web page is complete and when viewed in a browser everything is peachy. All links, hyperlinks etc work and it looks great. My problem is trying to ftp it to the site. I am using FTP Voyager to upload which shows the progress and the results. I tried publishing the site using the publish feature on front page but, my service provide didn't seem to like it and I was unable to even get past the login. FTP voyager, shows all the files being uploaded but, when I go to members.rogers.com/username, I still see the under construction placeholder. I call rogers technical support twice and they had no help for me as they do not provide software support. They seem to think that I have an error somewhere which is why it does not show up in my personal webspace. I have no idea what it is that I am missing. My web pages were written using Front Page 2000 and the following are the files. It looks like I have everything. If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate the help

index.ht
silver.ht
gem.ht
gold.ht
many many many image file
there is also the following file folder
border
derive
fpclas
overla
privat

Your home page is not named as required by your host.

index.htm may need to be renamed to index.html

Hi Thomas,

I tried your suggestion and still no luck. The FTP Voyager log states that I uploaded 3734 and downloaded 0 kbytes.

I'll add my two cents as best I can, since I haven't
published anything in a long time and am trying to get
away from Frontpage, mostly because I want to code by
hand, mostly for the challenge. But from what I remember,
these are the things you need to have working to publish
a web correctly.

1. Frontpage Server Extensions almost always must be
installed on Rogers Servers if you wish to use Frontpage
features.
2. You must also make sure that you have the _vti_
folders to the server. Most FTP servers assign a hidden
property to these, so that you can't see them but if
there is a way to modify your FTP client to show them. In
CuteFTP you go into the Filter settings, and then
click "Enable server side filtering (Server applies
filters) checkbox, and under the filter property type in
-la <- Type only -la !!!
Make sure those folder have been uploaded.
3. As somebody else said, make sure your homepage is
named correctly.

This is a BIG guess, but I suspect that what happens is
Frontpage creates the required folders for you when you
use the publish feature. Therefore, some folders (like
the _vti_ ones) that are not on your computer when you
copy your website folder over FTP are made on the server
by Frontpage. I'd suggest you try publishing your website
to a local folder, like c:\mywebsite and then dragging
the contents of that folder over to the server using FTP
voyager. Make sure that index.htm(l) is in the root
folder on the remote (server) folder.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about any of
this :)

You need to contact your host for the correct name for the home page and
also to make sure that you are uploading your content via FTP to the correct
location.

I tried the upload again but this time I uploaded only the index.htm file. This worked as far as the home page but not for the 4 other pages. So, I uploaded each of those seperately. Now all of the pages are there and, I can navigate but non of the jpegs or gifs made it to the actual web site even though it showed that they were being uploaded.
Any more suggestions for me (this is one of the more frustrating things I have done)

I really can not offer you any solution with regards to uploading via FTP
application, as I only work on sites hosted on Windows 2000/2003 servers
that have the FP extensions.

Can you give us a link to the website? I'll take a look,
maybe your linking/img src tags are broken.
