when opening existing word document it says file not availabe

I mtrying to open my existing word document files but an error message says
that the file is not available and then I press OK. A new message appears
stating that "the file Normal already exists. Do you want to replace the
existing file?" if I press No, the save as box appears with the save as type
as document template.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office
Plugin that comes with it (but don't disable Norton AutoProtect). See
