when opening clipboard only last entry is displayed

I create a document in office professional and paste various sentences onto
the clipboard.

When I open a new document and open clipboard, only the last sentence
entered is displayed.

Could you give me detailed instructions on how I should be operatinmg
clipboard so that it performs correctly,
 
Are you using Outlook in any of these steps (since you mention 'document' it
sounds like you're dealing with Word)?

Also, which version of Office are you using?
