When is .Net 2.0 coming out?

i heard that it will release later this year (Q3-Q4) together with whidbey.

I hope whidbey will be better than eclipse...

Whidbey is the .NET Framework 2.0 (along with the next version of Visual
Studio). It's scheduled to ship in the second half of this year.

shipped with Whidbey (the next version of Visual Studio .NET) which may be

Currently, the Whidbey public beta is scheduled for late spring, early
summer, with a hoped for release late this year. There is no official date
and I would not be surprised if it is early 2005.
