When is Administration a Full-time job?

Hello,
We are in the early stages of breaking a 50-user SBS
network into individual servers (SQL, Exchange, ISA,
File/Print).
Obviously this new network infrastructure will take more
time to maintain than the current single server.
Is there any rule of thumb as to when network
administration becomes a full-time job. I currently have
other non-IT responsibilities and I am concerned the new
network will introduce too much work to handle all of it.
Thanks.

Very well said. I would just add that it also depends on how good a
job they want you to do.

For example, do they expect you to have throughly tested, adequate,
distaster recovery plans and hardware in place should your SQL or (God
forbid) your Exchange server roll over and die?

Do they expect you to be researching new products and developments
such as Windows 2003, Exchange 2003, and the new SQL Server under
development now?

If the answer is "yes", then you got a full time job on your hands,
for sure.
