Hello,

This problem first came to light when I was playing NFS Most Wanted. When I
hold any key i.e. a letter or one of the arrow keys, the pc seems to freeze
until I release that key. This sometimes affects the sound too, for example,
in NFS the sound may stop then come back on or it will go "scratchy". This
also occurs if I am typing fast and listening to music, the letters stutter
as I type and the sound is stop starting all of the time.

I have tried disabling all Windows Accesability options. Updated as far as I
know I have all latest drivers for GeForce 6200, SB Audigy Live, Hauppage
PVR150 and mother board GA-8SQ800 Ultra (Gigabyte). I have also applied the
latest bios for the motherboard.

I hope someone can help me cause it is driving me mad. Finally I have tried
different installs of windows too.

Thanks,

Paul Pitchford.

Well... I'm currently using a Microsoft Coredless Desktop, i've tried
replacing them with a standard ps2 wired keyboard and i get the same response.

Thanks,

Paul.

Maybe try uninstalling the MS Desktop entirely and just using the ps/2
keyboard. I honestly don't know the answer to your problem. You've done
too much since the problem occurred to try a System Restore. You say
you've done "different installs of Windows". What does that mean? If
you are having this problem on a clean install of Windows where you
deleted the partition, formatted it, and then installed Windows and the
problem immediately occurred, then you know it has to be
hardware-related.
