When I logon windows automatically logoff

Hi, (new user)

I use windows xp pro, after the last updates (from microsoft update
site) the system tells me to resart. That was the last time i was used
my PC.

From then i cann't logon (even in safe mode) or as an Administrator.

The Windows welcome screan apears and when i click to the user account
the system seames to start the logon procesion but imediatly it logoff.

I try to boot from the OR cd of windows to use "Repear" but i actualy
donn't know what to do

Can anyone just tell me what to do ?

When I make a "reinstall" of windows will my instaled programs work ???
ex. Office or Symantec Antivirus ??

My documents, placed in my documents folder ?
