When I insert an "automatic" video clip, it doesn't play.

When I insert an MPEG2 video clip and select "automatically" play, the
program aborts.

I am using PPT 2003.

When I tried an AVI file the video sound was heard, but there was no video
visible.

Suggestions?

Start > Run > type in mplayer2.exe (for windows XP or mplay32.exe for earlier
versions)

Does the video play in this?

If so it's probably a path length problem, try placing the video and the
presentation in a folder directly on the C drive and re insert.

If it doesnt then reistalling the latest version of windows media player may
reset things
