When I copy my computer tries to install Roxio Easy CD three times.

Whenever I right click something, copy or move something from a folder
or to a folder, my computer begins to attempt to install Roxio Easy CD
Creator three times, and then completes the requested operation.

I have NO idea where this information would even be stored, or how it
was modified.

The worst part is that I don't even have Roxio, and it fails
constantly.

I don't consider myself a novice, but I can't fix this. Any ideas??

Have you recently installed a program? New drive?

This has been going on for a while. It's been a problem I have lived
with for over 6 months. I install and uninstall things all the time.
This is a software issue. I don't know how windows deals with moving
files, what it executes or where it gets its instructions from......I
searched the registry for any mention of Roxio, and I can't find it.

I had exactly the same problem, but with ScanSoft Create3 trying to install
when I right clicked and wanted do anything. It was very frustrating and my
problem was solved with Windows Installer Cleanup Utility at

About half-way down the page you download it.

But first you might check if the issue persists in Clean Boot, if not a
different problem, but if so: Download the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility. Double click the file and install the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility. Click Start, click All Programs, and then select this utility from
the list. Remove all the applications which are related to Roxio on the
list. Restart the computer and check if the issue still occurs.

This worked for me!
