When I close Word 2007 it re-opens

Everytime it tells me that "Word has been shut down in error" and it restarts
it!

Also, it tells me that "Normal" has been changed, and do I want to save it?
This, even if I only opened, then closed the application!

This sounds like a problem with the default template or an add-in - see
