When I click on a link in IE, a blank page comes up.

Very frequently, when I click on a link in Internet
Explorer, a blank page comes up. However if I refresh the
blank page, a web page will come up. This problem only
started recently. I am using Internet Explorer version 6,
SP1 and Windows 2000, SP4. I TRIED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM
BY FOLLOWING THE STEPS IN KNOWLEDGE BASE ARTCLE # Q824145.
How can I get links to display web pages most of the time
without being taking to a blank page and having to refresh
that page?

Under what circumstance do you get a blank windows?

If you fee that the update 824145 is culprit. You can remove it with the
Add/Remove applet.
MS is working on a new version which presently is causing some problems.
