What's the difference between msoTextBox & msoPlaceholder?

They seem to be used interchangably by PPT and msoPlaceholder can have
text.

A placeholder is a special kind of shape which inherits properties from the
masters. The placeholder be a text placeholder (Title/Body) or a content
placeholder - which can be a textbox, chart, image etc - any of the types
of the shapes that PowerPoint supports.
