Basically it sucks.
It's another attempt to control you.
To prevent you from doing as you please.
Soon, there will be nothing more frustrating than using a
computer.
It's the easiest document solution that permits the embedding of fonts, for
one thing. For another, because the document format is fixed in typeface,
pagebreaks, etc, you can have a meaningful contents page and index. Finally,
there is free software for just about any system you can point to that
enables you to read and view it, so it's close to a universal solution.
Those are its major strengths. Now, as to it's downsides.....
