You might want to ask this question on a PowerPoint newsgroup; the
webpage can be confusing, you've posted in a group for a different
program (Microsoft Access).
Scroll down the list of subject areas and find one for PowerPoint. It
should work fine on XP Home; when you post indicate the nature of the
problems you're having.
I don't have Office 97 on my Windows XP Home system now, but I did in the
past, and PowerPoint 97 installed just fine. Be sure to be more specific
than "cannot get it to install" when you find the appropriate newsgroup in
which to ask your question. You need to describe in detail what you tried,
and the exact error messages you got.
