How can I determine what version of Jet I am using?

You should be using Jet 4 for Access 2000 or 2002.
For Access 97, use Jet 3.51.

For more detail, search for msjet40.dll (msjet35.dll for Access 97).
Right-click the file, and choose Properties.
The Version tab gives more details.

Access 2000 will use Jet 4. Since you no longer have Access 97 on your
system I'll bet the Jet 3.5 is an orphaned file. But I don't recommend
deleting it to find out.
