hi,
I tried using tmpgenc
under file > MPEG tools > simple multiplex
but whenever I input the audio file
it tells me "illegal MPEG audiostream"
then I converted the wav to mp3
still no use
so please recommend me a tool other than tmpgenc
or help me to remove the error message
thank you

I use the RAD game tools for this.

As I explained in the previous thread, you need to convert the wav to mp2
before multiplexing. You do this not in MPEG tools, but in the main
Tmpgenc window. I'll quote from my previous reply:

In the main window, select "Stream Type" ES (Audio only) and specify your
wav file path in "Audio Source". Go into Setting and configure (224kbps
stereo is standard for vcd/svcd). Run--this will convert the wav to mp2.
Then you can go into MPEG Tools and multiplex using the mpg file for video
source and the mp2 for audio. (Check as you go, of course--make sure the
wav sounds ok, then make sure the resulting mp2 sounds ok, you get the
idea.)

Use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools. However, DON'T use "simple multiplex", use
"multiplex".

Simple multiplex is a "quick and dirty" way to multiplex your audio and
video. Think of it as "poor man's" multiplexing.

You don't know what you are talking about. Simple multiplex is no less fit
than the other multiplex tab for multiplexing a single video source with a
single audio source. But the difference between multiplex and simple
multiplex has nothing to do with this person's problem, and neither will be
sufficient for his task. His audio source is a wav file, which must be
encoded to mp2 before he multiplexes it.

Wrong. I know exactly what I'm talking about.

No shit.

By the way, dumb-****, my comments about using "simple multiplex" was an FYI
for the original poster.

Well, what it implied was that if he used the more versatile "multiplex"
instead of "simple multiplex" he would have better luck solving his
problem. That is false, because "multiplex" won't encode to mp2. And as
an FYI, I just don't know; there are many situations, including his, in
which one gains nothing using multiplex instead of simple multiplex, so
why advise him against using the latter?

For what it's worth, my reason for responding was, like yours, to clear
this up for the original poster, and I retract the rhetorical slur,
because how can I know if you know what you're talking about--maybe you
just can't communicate it clearly.
