I see the necessary files in the SP3 exe file, by using
7ZIP to look at the Service Pack. I can also see the files,
when I look in the 5000 files in the i386 folder of my
WinXP SP3 installer CD.
If you start with "moviemk.inf" (on the CD, the compressed
version of that is moviemk.in_), you can see a list of the
files needed. Papa John has listed the files, and you can verify the
list, by looking in the INF file. For example, these are selected
lines from the INF file in question.

The compressed files you might find on a CD, have similar names
to the above, except the last character is changed to an underscore.
You need to uncompress ("expand") them, to get the original file
name for each file.
The rest of the recipe, you can more or less decipher from the first
link above.
The moviemk.exe file on my C: drive is 3,558,912 bytes, and the
properties/version info for that file says 2.1.4026.0 . The file
is C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe . And that is the
version level with SP3.
I was hoping WMM would be an item in "Add or Remove Programs", but I
don't see it in the Windows Components. If it had been there, it
would have been easy to uninstall and reinstall.
