What ports are used?

Can anyone let me know what network/Internet ports are
used for what? or point me at a list of port usage?

In particular, does anything on my PC (standard XP Home,
and Systems Works 2003) listen to port 1025?

I am asking as this port was the destination of an
incoming TCP message that I accidentally allowed throguh
my firewall (Norton Personal Firewall) into my PC. The
process name quoted in the NPFLog ifle for this TCP
message was svchost.exe

Have I suffered any damage?
