what on EARTH is this and how do I get rid of it ???

I went to misconfig to stop a start up program and found
something that looks chinese (and no my pc is not
multilingual* under start up item and command it has a
lot of symbols . which resemble chinese script (although
not sure) under location it is
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows:Ru
n and
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows:Lo

Can anyone tell me what this is . and how to get rid of
it ?????

Right click delete or double click and clear the entry (data value).
However you are really needing to check your system. As by default there is
nothing listed under Run and Load isn't even listed.

Try this website it is a great resource for MSCONFIG and running programs. You can do a search to find out exactly what a program is and sometimes what company it belongs to.
