I'm trying to link workbooks in Excel, but I don't know what a Window menu is.

Well, the Window Menu is a group of Commands represented by the word "Window"
on the Menu Bar. You see the menus "File", "Edit", "View", etc.? There is
likely one for "Window" as well.
If it's not there, do this:
Tools | Customize Commands
Find the Category for Built-In Menus
Drag the Window choice up to the menu Bar.

In addition, I assume you want to have the two workbooks open and in view side
by side so's you can do your linking.

When you find the Window menu item, click it and select "New Window" and
Arrange".
