My e-mail account address is at msn.com and I go through Hotmail to

URL do I
use in Outlook for my POP server?
When you define an HTTPmail e-mail account in Outlook, the choices for
the mail server will already be listed in a drop-down listbox. Try the
default selected one.
If you haven't paid for your Hotmail account (i.e., you only have a
freebie one), you may not be able to access your Hotmail account using a
WebDAV e-mail client, like Outlook, Outlook Express, or some of the
retrieival services that retrieve your e-mails using POP3 to them and
they yank from Hotmail using WebDAV. If your Hotmail account was
created before Sept 27 and never has been deactivated (i.e., you didn't
use it in a month), WebDAV access to freebie Hotmail accounts is still
allowed up until around March 2005. If you created your freebie Hotmail
account after then, the only access you have is to use their webmail
pages. Since even the old freebie Hotmail accounts are going dead for
WebDAV access in a couple months, you will have to make a choice to pay
for it, only use the webmail interface, or get a different freebie
provider.
