What is the syntax for adding to "Blocked Senders List" to OL2K3

How do I add a whole domain and all of its sub-domains to
the Outlook 2003 "Blocked Senders List"???

The lack of anti-spam info at M$ is appalling!!! It is a
guessing game from M$ - what is the syntax - M$ won't tell
you! Not in OL help. Not on the Office site. Not in a
tech article. M$ has the absolute minimal anti-spam
information. It must be bad for M$ business to talk about
spam.

Do we need to use asterisks, no asterisks, at-signs, no at-
signs, only at-signs, only asterisks, or no asterisks and
no at signs?

Thanks for taking the time to not answer.

What seems like a totally common and simple thing to do
has turned into hours of work! This is typical of things
from M$.

M$ has answers to all kinds technical things but some of
the most obvious things that non-corporate users need to
do escape M$. M$ must spend millions on anti-spam
research and their own corporate anti-spam filters BUT NOT
ONE DIME on helping users stop spam today. M$'s external
spam filters must make the M$ bartenders ignorant of the
world - and I want to punch them in the nose for serving
me a beer that has little straws that go out to the
spammers.

How do you block a whole domain using the Outlook
2003 "Blocked Senders List"???? Is this really a hard
thing to do?

Thanks. The final answer is Outlook 2003 can not block a
single domain. How nice. So the latest phishing scams
will just flow right on in. Now nice.

When will M$ get a clue about security? I can't take this
crap any more - what are they waiting for long-

Technical final step to 'silent delivery and installation
of an executable on the target computer, no client input
other than reading an email' this can be achieved with the
highly touted 'secure-by-default' Outlook 2003 mail
client from the craftsman known as 'Microsoft'.

Default settings of the 'gadget' are: restricted zone
which means no active x controls, no scripting, no file
downloads etc.

This can all very easily be bypassed by simply embedding
in a rich text message our OLE object, one Windows Media
Player. We then point our source url to our media file
which includes or now run-of -the mill 0s url flip and
simply by previewing or opening the email message invoke
our device known as Internet Explorer to proxy our
manipulation of the recipient's machine.

In typical fashion despite the settings in the Windows
Media Player being set to 'disallow' scripting in media
files, despite Outlook 2003's 'highly' secure default
setting of view html content in the so-called 'restricted
zone'; it all still works !

This now all automates our process and coupling it with
our previous first step finding:

all we need to do next is our second step and embed the
entire package including the media file into the mail
message and send it along its merry way.

The whole Outlook 2003 'gadget' is broken.

Notes:

1. Miserable selection of full screen = true can allow us
to run our 'video' in WMP full screen mode. How about
that: forget about html spam messages, now we have full
screen video advertisements on opening the mail message.
2. Tested on XP, 2K3 POP mail client settings Outlook
2003, Exchange Server settings unknown at this time 3.
Subject to initial WMP settings a notification of
connection settings can pop up, however generally
dismissed at first running of WMP along with neither yes
or no selection having an effect [as usual].
4. Firewalls should flag Outlook itself trying to escape
out on port 80. Nevertheless if all embedded no need for
remote hosting.
5. Disable HTML settings or get another mail client
[better of the two as below] 6. Lots more where this came

Wildcards don't work in the Blocked Senders list. You can block an entire
domain, but only by subdomain. In other words, you can block

@domain.com
@sub1.domain.com
@sub2.domain.com
....etc...

To do what you want, create a rule whose selection is "with specific words
in the message header", make those specific words "somedomain.com" (or just
"somedomain"), ".ac", ".ad", etc. Make the action of that rule be to either
move your message to the Junk Mail folder or delete it. Make sure you also
include "and stop processing more rules" clause.
