what is the reference utility.mda for?

i am using both access 97 and 2000. i noticed that included in my
references is utility.mda. what is this for and when do i need to reference
it?

Some of the wizards seem to add that reference automatically, Steve. I think
it is removed again when you close and re-open the MDB. I can't remember the
details right now, I haven't used many of the wizards recently. Mostly, you
don't need to worry about it, but if you're distributing the MDB to others,
it would probably be a good idea to remove the reference if present and
compile and save before giving the MDB to someone else.
