Trying to print page of labels with same address; labels look o k on page but
when printed out they are "off" the label - I only get about two rows that
are ok. Using Avery J8160,

First two labels accross are ok, and from then on address is not in centre of
label, and each row is more out of alignment

Are you using an inkjet printer?

Can you define "off".

It appears to be a default template with set margins, I tried setting the
page to all zeros but it wouldn't let me change; how do you change template

Did you start with Word's template? Or did you use something else?

Can you/will you send that file to me? Let me see if I can see what's going
on with it. (I'm a visual sort.)

That would be great; my daughter tried to help me but got the same results as
I. What is your email address?

What happens if you print to a plain piece of paper? Slippage vertically and
horizontally suggests a problem with the paper handling of the printer. Some
printers are poor when handling labels. Does your printer have a switch for
use with thicker papers (usually on the right of the carriage). Try setting
it in the alternative position.

Collyj sent me her file. I compared it to the Word template and they were
the same. I went to the Avery UK website and downloaded their template for
that label. They were different. I emailed her back with that template
attached and just got a response. Because of the time difference she had
just finished breakfast and hasn't had a chance to test it yet. :-)

It was the horizantal slippage that concerned me. If a label sheet tracks
out horizontally then that is a fair indication of poor printer handling.

Have exhausted all avenues; even went to Avery site and downloaded a "wizard"
for Word and followed instructions -still printed out the same. Have other
priorities on my agenda now, so will leave it till when my plate is emptier
and try again.Thanks for tips.
