what is the best memory

hi all can you tell me i have just started building my amd 3400+ 64 with a
asus k8v deluxe motherboard what would be the best or fastest memory for
this set up.. i would like to have about 1 gh of memory....... thanks

You may wish to consult the QVL Qualified Vendors List available at
the web site for your board on www.asus.com.tw
 
Without a doubt, consult the motherboard website, and I would also suggest a
trip to the AMD Support Forums...lots of threads about the AMD64 and memory
using various boards.

I'm running a GA K8NNXP / AMD64 3200+ w/ 1GB of Kingston HyperX 3200+. I
cannot get the board to hold CL 2 settings- it resets itself to "auto" and
runs it at CL 2.5. If I had done a little more research, I would have gone
with different memory for my board.
