What is the ATI folder on my C:\ drive after driver install?

Just installed latest drivers for someone's PC, and see that a
folder named ATI is now on the C: drive. It has a sub-folder of
Support, and inside it appears to be the driver install files. Is it
safe to delete this without any problems?

Anytime you install Catalyst drivers or MMC Suite it will uncompress those
files to your hard drive for backup. If the Catalyst drivers and MMC Suite
is functioning. It is safe to delete the c:\ati\support directory.

its a temp folder. you may delete the files once drivers are installed.

Nice of ATI to junk up your harddrive with files that ought to be deleted
after installation..but now i think about it,thats not the worst problem
with their drivers :)

Many peripherals (including nVidia) do the same thing. I agree, they should
tell you that you can delete the files, or give you the option at the end of
the install for the program to do it for you. But no big deal.
