What is sabotaging this download?

I can't find which program or process is sabotaging my attempts to
download yahoo messenger.......I've done the task manager and shut off
all aplications, but still cant complete messenger install......help
 
Scan for spy/malware with adaware and spybot search and destroy, sounds like
something is running in the background and hidden. are you losing your
internet connection?
