What is IME Sentence Mode?

Hello,

What is the IME Sentence Mode of a textbox and why would someone set it?
Can this cause a delay in seeing text entered or the textbox being updated?

I did use Help. I hit F1, but it didnt give me that information. I am
using A2007. I looks like your help is from 2003.
