There are times when my computer will run extremely slow - even to the point
where I think it is frozen. When I check processes, I see iexplore.exe
running at over 95%. I have 2 identical computers and only one has this
problem. Is there anything I can do to fix this? If the application has
something to do with Internet Explorer, the problem has occurred with both 6
and 7. I'm running 7 now with all windows updates current. I uninstalled
and reinstalled 7.0 with the same results. Any help would be much
appreciated.

IEXPLORE.EXE = Internet Explorer

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Google is a good tool. Search on iexplore.exe to see what it is.
