What is hiberfil.sys???

I was just looking at the hidden files on OS partition
and there was a hiberfil.sys. It is 1.3 gigs and I am
just wondering what it is and why it is so big. Thanks!

Have a look at your computer manual and check the
chapter under "Hibernation"!
