You can go to Excel Help and type in "goal seeking" for starters
 
Do a google search for Goal Seek Excel and read some web information.


In a nutshell, it allows you to Solve an equation for a variable.
For instance, you want to borrow 20,000. But, you can only afford to pay
$375 per month. If you set the worksheet up correctly, Goal Seek could tell
you exactly how long it would take you to pay off the loan.
You could also use it to find monthly payments for different loan amounts or
different loan lengths.
